Went with a simple pumpkin design this year. Roasting seeds today and handing out some candy later with The Shining playing in the background. Haven't picked a costume yet but I have all day. Happy Halloween everyone!

It was a rare occurrence when someone would beat me to the beach in the early morning hours, despite a surrounding metro area of ~3 million people (greater metro ~18 mil). But, looking back, the evidence was there in the form of tire tracks and footprints. Huntington Beach, California, Oct. 3, 2003:
