#Ohio -- where the legislature has tried preempt ALL local tobacco regulation -- is unsurprisingly one of the states with the highest number of tobacco lobbyists.

This week marks 20 years since the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) entered into force. It's truly sad that the US has never ratified it & is now stepping away from the WHO. Grateful I had the opportunity to live in Uruguay in 2019 & study the successes the FCTC helped catalyze.

For my #TobRegSky friends & other #PublicHealth researchers -- this question from today's argument is an instructive window into the scientific literacy of (some) Supreme Court justices.

I've said repeatedly that the FDA should be more transparent and consistent in how it does its AFPPH analyses, but I think this, from Justice Sotomayor, is ultimately correct.
