@authorpcorrell.bsky.social, I noticed autistic people have two stages of puberty. First is the physical one, which everyone else has, and second isthe emotional and mental stage, which lasts up until you're like 28.

I have no allies on either side of the political spectrum. Conservatives want to put me in an internment camp due to my autism. Self-professed progressives are deeply disturbed by my autism, how it manifests in my mannerisms, and they wish for me to quietly vanish without fuss.

When Trump does something outlandishly evil to get a rise, it's because he's trying to distract us from something worse. It's bait, and anyone who reacts to these things is taking it, deflecting from the actual policies that do harm.

I have no allies. Nobody outside my mother and sisters are coming to my rescue, and even then, they've got their own things going on. My current healthcare also won't cover therapy or even medical neccesities like an abcessed tooth extraction. Even now, I doubt I'll get any help after this post.

@stillhere4745.bsky.social, I hope you, too, are against ableism. I see it far too often, even by people who flaunt being "progressive" while also being visibly disturbed by autistic people, and treating us more hostilly than neurotypical people.

Fighting for a better, juster world is noble, but oftentimes, I see even my side fall short of honoring that ideal. For there can never be a just world if even those for sociel justice are ableist. Ableism infested all political ideologies, no matter the party.

I withdrew from politics a long time ago, because I realized the most atrocious acts—slavery, genocide, and the mass murder and oppression of women—aren't just rooted in racism and sexism. It's humanity that's truly at fault.
