SDOT crews were out today installing these barriers on the westbound lane.

A new Link system map just dropped.

It looks like @seattledot.bsky.social recently upgraded the barrier between the bike lane and parking lane on Union St to a curb (from flex posts). This would be a great addition to all parking protected bike lanes as many drivers overestimate the width of their vehicles.

It was great talking with people about the lights- everyone agreed they are needed ASAP. I set up my camera to match what the human eye can see. How many people do you see in this picture?

Update from Parks:

It was great to see the new stations. I’m looking forward to seeing how Kent and Federal Way take advantage of this new resource. Time for some of us to take a nap.

This sign will be correct in 3 weeks!

I think a small apartment building could fit in the same amount of space as this refuge island and slip lane.

Kent Des Moines station looks good. The two plots between the station and Pacific Hwy are allocated for affordable TOD.

Wolfgang can’t wait for Star Lake station to open. He snuck through the gate while I was taking a picture.
November 15, 2025 at 7:33 PM
Welcome to Star Lake! I wonder which cost more: the station or the parking garage.

It’s always neat seeing old Metro signs.
November 15, 2025 at 5:48 PM
Federal Way has a lot of potential, and there are plans to use some of it.
November 15, 2025 at 5:42 PM
The last time I rode the A Line I was on bus 6000. It is the only bus in Metro’s current fleet that has a rear window.

Wolfgang and I are going to check out the three new FWLE stations that open in three weeks!

This video from October shows the flooded NB bus lane on Rainier near Mount Baker Blvd. The same section looked even more flooded this morning.

Flex posts have caught on to the “safety in numbers” strategy. So far it appears to be working.

Great talk from @thewaroncars.bsky.social and @nerd4cities.bsky.social! Can’t wait to read Life After Cars.

It’s looking better after the construction this weekend. Based on the shape of the curb, I think left turns out of Safeway are still allowed.

I finally had a chance to check out the new E Marginal Way bike lanes and they are truly fantastic. Thank you @seattledot.bsky.social! I look forward to seeing more infrastructure like this around Seattle.

I think it’s safe to say Black Diamond did not make the most dangerous list because they invest in safe pedestrian infrastructure. For example: Please don’t run me over flags
