Book 8 of 2025. God of the Woods by @lizmoorebooks.bsky.social. I absolutely loved this one. Two intertwined mysteries, fully drawn characters, a setting that felt very grounded and true, and a satisfying ending. 5 out of 5 stars.

Book 7 of 2025. The Naturals by Jennifer Barnes. My teen wanted me to read a YA series with her so we could discuss them and have a “book club.” YA generally isn’t my thing but it was a good book and I loved that she wanted to read it with me.

Book 6 of 2025. I can’t believe how quickly I moved on from “how to get your baby to sleep through the night” books to this one, but here we are! There was a lot of great information in here about what colleges are looking for and what isn’t as important.

Book 5 of 2025. The Measure. 3.5 out of 5. Interesting to see how all of the characters fit together and I did shed a few tears.

Book 4 of 2025. Don’t Let Go by @harlancoben.bsky.social. I’ve never been let down by a Harlem Coben book. He is always entertaining and keeps me reading way too late into the night.

Book 3 of 2025. Throne of Glass. DNF. I think I have to accept that I don’t enjoy fantasy novels. I really love sci-fi and dystopian novels, but for some reason, I just can’t do fantasy. Maybe I’m just reading the wrong ones.

The Husbands. 5/5 stars.
