This is my favourite game. Every part of it sucks, but each part sucks in a way that GESTURES TOWARD something that would be awesome were it not undermined by every other part. Thanks and thanks again. I am speechless. The warmth and support of friends, strangers, and fellow artists have moved me. I say to my students not to get attached to their work, but it's what I did. I worked on Ergo Cosmos for a long time, and I was terrified by the release. 1/3

this is absolutely relevant for game design too. i’ve been too ill / busy / clinically depressed to push through with LEVIATHAN so instead i’m just noodling at the same two or three mechanics instead of completing my roadmap
One of the best things to recognise in yourself as a creative person is when you are Sauceless.
Not art blocked. Not struggling with a difficult creative problem.
Being Sauceless is when you've done good work but have been staring at it for too long, and risk making it worse through noodling.
