i got fully knocked out for mine! they still numb you if you're awake but you can apparently feel them tugging it out from like a pressure sensation, which i didn't want to be awake for lol 😵‍💫 admittedly for me all four of mine were like In My Gums so they were like "yeah you're going to sleep" lmao
