There is NO way of doing a meaningful conversion therapy ban in the UK in 2025. Conversion practices are fundamental to the NHS under 18s healthcare service. Criminal ban on medication + Transition denied + Search for alternative cause + Mandatory identity investigation = conversive practice.

the brazenness astonishes me - the cognitive dissonance between the story i was indoctrinated with about the constitution and the bill of rights and what this court has chosen. i have known america to be false for at least 1/3 of my life, but this? this still has hit me like a wet fish to the face

The Supreme Court is about to go on an extended summer vacation, after having blown up the docket of every single lower court judge who has been working like a dog to deal with the firehose of illegal orders coming out of this administration.
If the Supreme Court thinks universal injunctions are unconstitutional, to wait until *now* to say that, in this of all cases, with this of all presidents, is a devastating indictment of both its impartiality and its prudence.

all of the Supreme Court’s jurisprudence about executive power - all of it - can be replaced with a simple flow chart. is the president a Republican? if so it’s ok. if not, it’s presumptively not ok.
