Memory leaks are the worst. That was one of the first problems I encountered back when I didn't even know a memory leak was a thing. Someone on the SGDK Discord helped me... had to release my maps when switching screens. I'm still learning and I'm sure I have some leaks causing problems.

Thanks! I’ll have to check what I did. I tried shutting off things and I turn off interrupts when loading levels… but maybe not for my intro screens.

I’m on my treadmill right now so I’ll check this afternoon.

So I wasn’t deactivating it properly obviously. Just not sure why that other stuff broke. As in no sounds would play and I would get black screens.

Well, I was able to implement it so my HUD could be moved down and used as a mid-scene dialog. So it worked.

BUT it would break all sound/music and some images once I would leave the level and go to my menus.

Congrats on getting it to work!

I was experimenting with your WINDOW plane interrupt file last weekend. I don’t understand how the interrupt stuff works at all LOL!
