Credit to @hfxgov.bsky.social 311 for addressing this dangerous equipment failure in under 24 hour: Princess Pl x-sing at Cunard, the Beg Button on North side was disconnected from series, meaning pressing it did not activate signal on second part of Cunard, which was not visible during daytime.

But same symbol on bridge was clearly identified by city as "fine to walk next to your bike" . You can't have same symbol meaning two different things.
