*he is massively wrong, 80% or so speaks "English" just not the English he understands because it's part of the, wait for it, Scottish Culture! Which surprisingly is different to England.

The Second Martin O'Neil era of Celtic comes to an end. What an incredible job he has done, we are now equal to Hearts on points after being 8 points behind and we are back on track both in the league and in Europe.

We play Hearts at the weekend. It's going to be a belter of a game!

You will be shocked to discover after reading these stories that while Rachel Reeves claimed to have been the "British girls under-14 [chess] champion" she was in reality merely the "Under 14s British Women’s Chess Association (BWCA) Girls" Champion.

This is getting utterly ridiculous now

Truly shocking that Rachel Reeves had the audacity to call herself the U14 girls chess champions when she won the U14 girls chess championship but some bloke thought she was talking about something else.

The Green Party leaders says he listens to "Economists". The three he names here, are well, just watch the clip.

This man should not be taken seriously.
Pinched this video from @cjsnowdon.bsky.social on Twitter because Bluesky has to see it.

Nothing can prepare you for the punchline here.

Watched BBC 6 o clock news. Just a completely unserious broadcast. Chris Mason, acting like a children's entertainer, giving a prolonged impenetrable editorial. Not a whiff of informative content about the Budget or what it means for the country. Just playschool blah blah bollocks.

The OBR is run independently from Government. It literally was somebody else's fault.

You'd think Kemi Badenoch would know that given her own party created it in Government, but apparently not

Choir singing carols. Xmas tree lights on. Jolly cheers.

Jon Craig on Sky: It's huge, more colourful, a better tree than we've seen in recent years. If I were to make a cynical point, I wonder if the PM is thinking whether he'll be switching it on next year.

These people are just exhausting. ~AA

Had a lovely long weekend home in Scotland, the briefest of trips this time (just went with a backpack).

Saw family, saw friends, exchanged gifts, ate a load of fried or battered food (very much the stereotype) and spent most of the time with my sisters wee dog.

Cracking weekend all round.

The general position of journalists in that Starmer Q&A appeared to be: The economy has been doing better than expected and so the Chancellor did not have to increase income tax, breaking a manifesto pledge, as feared, therefore, THE CHANCELLOR MUST RESIGN. 😵‍💫
I find it interesting that every single TV political journalist opened with an editorialising comment, while all the newspaper ones just asked questions. I suspect, because the latter know the question won't be in the write-up, while the former are trying to craft a clip that is all about them. ~AA

What a weekend, the top 6 teams faced each other in rhe Scottish Premiership. Celtic closed the gap to two points behind Hearts and Rangers lack of winning ways always brings me joy.

Celtc play hearts next weekend. Cannot wait for that game, a win means Celtic go top with a game in hand.

Questions for the next budget come earlier every year.

Well done Sky for this.

It feeds the narrative you want, knowing full well 12 months is a long time, who know what the shape of the country will be in 12 months time.

Labour lifted 450,000 kids out of poverty yesterday but according to Beth Rigby thats bad for Labour and as for the BBC, nah not even going to mention it.

Totally normally country, where the national broadcaster and biggest news channel clearly distain this Labour Government, not even hiding it.
November 27, 2025 at 7:24 AM
I did the budget calculator, so I am little worse off, not massively.

Lifting half a million kids out of poverty, seems like a good price to pay to me.

Plus sides to today: Two-child benefit scrapped. Largely progressive tax implications. Good market reaction. No big spending cuts. Nightmare prospect of cutting funding to net zero etc avoided. It's a left-wing budget. Those who say there's no difference between Labour and Tories are bananas.
November 26, 2025 at 5:51 PM
Not a bad budget however not a great budget.

Mansion tax and Gambling tax welcomed.
Two Child Benefit Cap being Lifted is very much welcomed.

The economy is not as bad as we are being told

The continued freeze of income tax thresholds not great. Not suprised though.

Now before I put my feet up, time to take a big gulp of water and check the latest news.

All the supposedly progressive people saying 'Nigel Farage's racism doesn't matter. His fans love it'.

It matters whether the leader of the party leading all the opinion polls is an outright racist. It matters if he called black people 'wogs' and said 'gas them' to Jews. Not everything is a game
