Probably metabolically unhealthy to start with, covid just finished the job.

It seems to me that many, many chronic conditions include these 3:
- oxidative stress
- immune activation / inflammation
- high insulin

It's not true that's the only way to find out. I learned about investing from fool.co.uk forums. It's not what it was (some folk created replacement forums at lemonfool.co.uk), but sites like that, monevator.com etc are good for teaching the basics of using index trackers.

tbh I'm surprised it's "only" £7m a year!

I don't think this is true.

E.g. There are many tradespeople earning good money. Often more than new graduates.

They shouldn't have uploaded the file until the appropriate time. They could faff around with permissions or an obfuscated name that wouldn't be guessed, but just not loading it early is the simple way. K.I.S.S.

Upload a junk file if they want to test and retest the upload process.

I'm sceptical of the salary sacrifice changes raising that much, even if they do go ahead as currently planned. Surely companies & people will work around them a lot?

So which of these are bunkum then, and which of them might contain some truth?

I can believe that nasal breathing is healthy, but there's no f****ng way I'm taping my mouth up when I sleep!

It's ok, I'm sure we're already increasing salaries and bursaries and training opportunities for e.g. nurses and doctors so that the reduction in numbers of immigrant workers in the NHS goes smoothly.

... err ... we are, aren't we ... ??

No idea. But at a guess, perhaps the places that offered art history were the posher private schools, and they might have offered a level rather than highers??

I wonder if biological factors influence pain, e.g. 4-HNE?

Oh look it does!

Perhaps eating fewer foods that increase pain would be a good idea?? Is anyone investigating / suggesting that?

Hehe. Maybe as this was a "boring budget"* we'll get ten months rest this time?? 😆

* or currently seen as boring. I usually wait until the weekend to see what hidden "features" people find that were missed / misinterpreted at first

QT when we have high long rates is crazy. We can debate how big the impact is, but it's crazy to continue with it when it might be having a big effect.

Larger muscles should have more/better mitochondria, and should also help glucose control. Seems like these might help.

Personally I suspect that easy weight training that avoids PEM might be good for pwMECFS, stress on easy of course. Static, isometric holds might be one way to do this. Gets some muscle tension but without the energy requirements of moving weights back and forth.
