Meet the Malaysian giant katydid, the world's largest katydid species. Borneo does elephants small, and insects huge... things are completely backward there.

(This, by the way, is a male. Apparently the female is even bigger.)

It is probably the size of our eastern gray squirrels. The snake is the world's longest snake species, and that individual ("medium-sized") was at least 4 meters long. This was all happening 20-30 meters above the forest floor too (we were on a canopy walkway, so eye level for us).
