A poem about queer joy reprinted in an anthology from my Alma mater. Inspired by Franny Choi’s “Science Fiction”. I also love dissing poor innocent straight people. 😆 #FuckAroundandFindOut

conservatism (the overreliance on familiarity) stems from fear, especially when the stakes for one's choices are high. the way to overcome that fear is not (just) risk assessment, but trust. trust that after the choice, it would be better. that's liberty.

I find that the best books are the ones where you can see sentences sommersaulting words on a page like they’re flipping soufflé omelets… every single page, every single sentence.

gosh i really need to pursue the creative writing opportunities in the US. i just need to. Singapore is not only dry but too interpersonally political. Miss maam I'm gonna write about d*ck and c*ck in my poems and the people here write about Thursday afternoons and elderly care.

Finished Jane Wong’s memoir last night and I was crying-laughing my way to sleep. It’s so beautiful, like looking into a mirror of my own life, and I’m sad I can’t experience it for the first time again.
