With the cancellation of Project Bifrost, my time at People Can Fly is at an end. It’s been an honor working with such a passionate, creative, freakishly talented team.

So now I’m officially #OpenToWork, if you know a team in need of an experienced Lead/Principal/Senior Game Designer. #GameJobs

Pretty much ANY statistic you see cited to frighten you about vaccines comes from the VAERS database. (Including the recent evidence-free missive from Vinay Prasad). Here's why VAERS can NEVER be a proper source for population-level vaccine risk estimates.

I remember Dawning Realization Month for the NFT people too. Think this is going to take much longer because of how wrapped up the whole economy is in this, but it really feels like it's happening.
Anecdotally on twitter seeing a big shift the last few days from every AI slop account saying every other creative field is “over” and they’re in control now to now posting about how nobody likes them and it’s not fair and they’ll persevere and real artists respect and uplift eachother

It has some games, there weren’t much,
Developers felt afraid to touch,
A small matte metal cube with chamfered grooves yeah,
And even though it all went wrong,
That Kickstarter was so damn strong,
Crowd funded micro-console they call Ouya
Now I heard there was a tiny box
Engraved with names like Minecraft Notch
And Brian Fargo and FourZeroTwo, yeah
But though it promised games for free
And mobile ports on your TV
It's a cold and it's a broken Founders' Ouya

As 2025 winds to a close, we say goodbye to a few members of our team whose work was instrumental in bringing Ambrosia Sky: Act One to life.

Each of these folks is an incredible talent. Though we've made the difficult decision to part ways for now, I'd be lucky to work with any of them again.

there is almost no feedback I will reflexively ignore as a game developer but “you shouldn’t name something X because people don’t know that word” is one of them. oh no! You might learn a new word! God forbid you take away a piece of knowledge from a game that’s not a brand of gun or some shit lol

and 3) please be wary of anything that seems to invite the response "ah, of course [American government institution] is secretly run by Israel!"
that Twitter screenshot allegedly revealing the DHS account is operated from Tel Aviv is probably fake because 1) it originated from an anime shitposter on Twitter, 2) the formatting does not align with other accounts subject to the feature [it revealed only countries, not specific cities]

re: roblox dude's interview crashout. the thing he wants to say but can't is "at scale, kids are gonna get hurt. that is the price for scale." the thing nobody wants to say out loud is "maybe scaling to a level where harm isn't manageable is bad, and scale should be contained"

100% correct. The Dem ads about Trump weren't just "orange man bad." They were: I'm focused on lowering costs while my GOP opponent is serving Trump, who is raising costs with tariffs, canceling infrastructure, etc.
The bizarre media narrative that Dems must choose between anti-Trump and affordability politics reflects a broad reluctance to accept that Trump is really unpopular. The way forward is a fusion of the two. They are often one and the same. 8/

In Chicago, a woman was driving to get coffee when a DHS vehicle fleeing an angry crowd crashed into her car. Armed agents jumped out of the vehicle, yanked her door open, pulled her by the legs out of her car at gunpoint, held her incommunicado for hours, then released her with no charges.
