It forces me to have to bring all the different colliding thoughts going on in my mind into a single, sequential output: only one word after the other

Editing a first draft is a skill I've noticed helps me think in better ways as well. I still prefer doing this myself

For context: I don’t know much about your work, and I’ve spent relatively little time in academia and much more in the industry
I agree with a lot of your points, and many of them are why I didn’t want to continue in academia in the first place
I hope academia can adapt, we deeply need research
