I think I like this new place…
New name, same picture, same ranty guy with too many opinions.

Taxes are already high (for normal people) but we all want more spending and less taxes. That obviously can’t work. And whenever you try to cut regulations someone will be disappointed because that bit was important to them.

Wonder what she thinks about a man born in the US being Prime Minister.
Or an MP spending half of his time in Dubai.

Nothing summarizes the British mind more than this statement.

(Except maybe looking at asking prices around their area to determine the price you think your house is worth)

The problem is that either way someone will pay more tax and that will be picked up by the papers. You would need to bring the 45% threshold down to 75k to make this a neutral move.

Thanks, I wondered if I missed it

Admittedly I’m in two minds. I’ve recently read „Abundance“ and it is a fact that we‘ve probably swung too far on Regulations, that’s why we can’t build housing fast. But the problem is that deregulation is most often exploited by people with a bad agenda rather than by those with good intentions.

Rather than a grant that benefits (mostly) foreign made car makers, why not give people vouchers/charging credit? That would help build infrastructure and force charging networks to have a unified payment solution. It also helps those that can’t charge at home, ie those most unlikely to buy an EV.

It’s worse: the orange Buffoon wants to use 100m of Russian(!) assets to pay for Ukraine‘s rebuilding in exchange for 50% of the profits, while Europe should pledge the same amount of its own money for nothing. It’s a typical Trump business, but does not care for the people or the consequences

As someone who grew up outside the UK I can confirm: there is something seriously wrong with education in this country

Fact: it’s more likely to get abducted by someone claiming to be ICE walking on a street in America than being stabbed in London

About a month ago I read from a lawyer on here that Comey is pressing for quick trial because he knows that they will butcher it on procedural things if not on the case itself. It’s funny how real lawyers knew what was coming but the cosplaying MAGArites walked right in it with open eyes.
