For the background I used an old hope chest from my partner’s family and it looks really good with these drawings?? I’ll have to work on the lighting because I can’t easily move it, but for now it works.

Fortunately it looks like it’s on the Internet Archive so I can finish it there and not put more stress on my copy. Only one library in all of LA County has a copy and it’s not close to me so… thank you once again to Internet Archive

The pages are kind of faded and I have to read it with a reading light, which is why it has taken me years to read, but unfortunately there is no buying a new copy, and it’s the definitive collection of Arab folktales and fairytales in English 😔

I read The River Has Roots by Amal El-Mohtar! It’s not horror, more of a fairytale that’s also a love letter to traditional ballads. I did want to write a review since it’s a new book, we’ll see if I can do it in a timely manner and not in a year lol!!!

I adore this game! And I definitely agree, I love that they gave us a little lantern on our explorations too 🥲

There’s a few I want to read because I’ve read the authors before, but I mostly hope I can reach my 15 book goal this year. Naked Lunch took me like 6 months to read, so it set me back lol
