I'm thinking this image has again been expanded upon and coloured in the years since I knew it. This Plague Marine's torso accompanied the flavour text on Nurgle in my 3e CSM Codex. I initially interpreted those images as being of the Chaos Gods themselves and this is still how I imagine Nurgle.

I was with you until the Cuban rum. Definitely nothing to do with kneejerk pseudo-nationalistic instincts: it's just that my island makes objectively the best rum.

I've just seen an adult human being claim that caterpillars metamorphose by "break[ing] down to liquid form" and "rebuild[ing] an entirely new animal" and I am absolutely done speaking to other humans this year.

I can't believe I missed this one! I know and love the Sisters best as the Chamber Militant of the Ordo Hereticus, so these pieces from the old Codex: Witchhunters really speak to me. Fuel for the fire of my desire to collect an army themed around that venerable time one day.

The whole 'lightning taking up the souls of great warriors to the training hall of the mighty bearded warrior god and patron of kings' things is extremely Valkyrie-adjacent, yet, the Stormcast have absolutely no Valkyrie coding.

I my hobby youth, Morathi here, who also among the most prominent female characters in Warhammer Fantasy Battle, was more or less as armoured as they came. Not sure how well she managed in the frozen wastes of Nagaroth.

I am going to resist the urge to go full Jill Bearup on this chestplate and instead take a moment to celebrate how we've come with female characters in Warhammer because she is at once awesome, wearing vaguely usable armour, and paired with an Ultramarine.

I have a lovely FLGS in Edinburgh I like to pop into and check out what otherwise unfindable boxset they still, inexplicably, have lying around and I have now walked in twice, loudly declaring 'I sure hope they don't have the Helsmiths of Hashut Army Set' and they never do why is God so cruel 😭
