I just watched For A Fistful Of Dollars with my child a few weeks ago, and it so resembled Yojimbo that Kurasawa sued and won. Learned that from the nice commentary on the 4K disc.

The thing I was most baffled by was m ditching one of the best D-pad designs on any console controller ever. That was my first clue how slapdash this is. I was holding out hope for the software side: Will they bring their awesome OG Xbox and 360 binary translation tech to a portable? Nope!

Figured it out, the non-contiguous aspect of it is what was tripping me up. Thanks!

Any chance Buddha will be open sourced at some point? Would be awesome to learn from the history of commits. If Carmack can do it, hopefully you all can as well :)

I’m curious if they’re using hardware lumen, nanite, or other advanced Unreal 5.x features on Xbox Series. if they are, I’d love to hear them discuss what aspects of the visual designs it helped them realize. I always thought Headlander would’ve looked great in HDR with its bold 1960s color palette
