It was a packed year with some fantastic movies a worthy of "film of the year" but despite that, it's not a difficult choice. I Swear" was powerful and emotional. It really hit home and had me laughing and crying in all the right places. Easily my film of the year.

I get what you both mean, BUT, whatever the motive, the recipient of said nice thing has still had a nice thing done for them. So there's always a genuine winner.
