З Днем Незалежності, Україно! 🇺🇦

Thrilled to see @efinkel.bsky.social ‘s new book (and the author himself!) in stores in the UK this week. I’m only a few pages in and already highly recommend it for its thoughtful analysis of the origins of Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Today marks two years since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Twenty-four months + 8 years defined by war.

So much has been lost, but Ukrainians continue their fight. Don’t forget them - they need our help more than ever before.

Вічна памʼять.🇺🇦

A brilliant few days discussing the changing social and geopolitical imaginaries in Eastern Europe. The tranquility of a Norwegian fjord backdropped the very dynamic conversation.

Huge thanks to Elina Troscenko and Tone Bringa for the invitation!

It was a grey day in Kyiv yesterday as we said goodbye to another hero taken far too soon. The overflowing cathedral reflects both Maksym Kryvstov’s significant impact on others and the immense pain felt throughout Ukrainian society as this war enters its 10th year.
