He thinks he’s looks like an unstoppable authoritarian when he’s actually serving scared, befuddled grandpa.

One lesson here is “Know when to stop.” Not every character needs a backstory; not everything needs to be a franchise. You can turn a Dr. Seuss book into a 25 minute cartoon and it’s fine, but if you make it a two-hour movie, it’s going to be 80% padding.

It's about teaching kids they get to decide what to do with their bodies, which has implications for protecting them from potential abuse as well as whether or not Grandma and Grandpa get hugs.

I know from experience that this can be tough and awkward! Sorry for overgeneralizing, but ... Boomers and boundaries, man. Eesh. So some millennial parents are taking a different approach, telling the kids their bodies and feelings also matter, and trying to get grandparents to respect that.

I have no trouble believing this is a trend, because there are a lot of kids' books about consent now. For example we gave ours "C is for Consent" (2018) years ago. My question is, is this article 'grandparents are sad because their kids are so mean,' or is it actually a sensible look at the topic?

This explains a lot of the brain rot affecting the ultra-rich now. Many of them have been warped by years of fawning press coverage, they're surrounded by suckups and dependents who won't tell them 'no,' and eventually it becomes easy to tell yourself that the truth is whatever you want to believe.

If you weren't at her memorial service, I can message you a link. I was going to post it here, but they give out her address.
