The USAF removed Tuskegee Airmen & Women Airforce Service Pilots of WWII from basic training curriculum. For 30 years I promised these women I would not let them ever be forgotten again. We worked for decades to have them remembered. The Airmen too. Knowledge is power. 🗃️ www.msn.com/en-us/societ...

Congrats to @chasestrangio.bsky.social, the first openly trans lawyer to argue at SCOTUS! Having counted all female SCOTUS advocates (supremecourthistory.org/oral-argumen...), I think Chase’s milestone compels us to also track and encourage other (self-identified) non-binary advocates!

Also: If you don't have money to buy my (or anyone's) books, and you live in the anglosphere, before you pirate them, try to get them from your local library instead. They have it or can get it, they pay for the books, and in many places writers get paid for their books being lent. Everyone wins!

Thanks, Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience! Bessie Margolin, on loan from the Labor Dept to the Army May-Nov 1946, attended the closing days of the int’l trial of the top Nazis before drafting rules for US trials of the judges, doctors, and industrialists.

I don’t consider myself a violent person, but once again watching Russell Crowe’s Maximus slay Joaquin Phoenix’s Commodus in “Gladiator” makes me very hopeful. “There was a dream that was Rome. It shall be realized.” There was a dream that was democracy. Let’s work to realize it!!
