Does anyone else find #Bluesky to be only lukewarm? I'm logging in here less and less and logging in constantly to #Twitter (yeah, I still call it that) because I get meatier info there. Even when I follow some of the same people on both platforms, I see more of their posts on Twitter.

I am writing my Congressman and Senators daily. I am canceling Amazon Prime. I am buying local (especially tailgate markets). I am already a skilled second hand (thrift) shopper. I am stocking up on essentials, planting a garden, learning more about herbal medicine. How are you preparing? #SHTF

A Delta flight carrying ~80 passengers from Minnesota appears to have crash landed at Toronto Pearson Airport. No casualties reported as of this time. Numerous photos and videos have been released showing passengers safely exiting the plane, which flipped upside down. At least 8 people injured.

There is simply no plausible argument that the president has the constitutional authority to refuse to spend appropriated funds because he doesn’t like how the money is being spent.

My son was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor when he was 11. Long story short, we wound up getting care at the #NIH . Their care helped him thrive. Today's news has really hit me in the gut. I was already reading this book about #herbalremedies. is this where we're heading? What are you reading?

Shutting down medical research — not just within NIH, but everywhere that’s funded by NIH — will have long-term effects on medicine & short-term effects on state, higher education & hospital budgets. This affects all of us, not just researchers.
The assault on NIH is a test for how the national media covers the Trump admin: Trump is shutting down medical research!
That is easy to communicate. Will they treat it as a 5 alarm fire in a way that forces the government to respond, or will they downplay & caveat it?
