(WPRI) — A Rhode Island Superior Court intern was briefly taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Providence Thursday afternoon before a judge intervened, according to the state’s Judiciary office. The student, a high school intern at Superior Court, was reportedly detained by the agents outside the Licht Judicial Complex on Benefit Street. Superior Court Judge Joseph McBurney insisted the agents had the wrong person. It was not until ICE verified their information and admitted the intern was not their intended target that he was released.

Had a blast protesting again at today's #NoKings rally in #Raleigh. My Frogs sign was a bit too clever: it went right over the heads of several (mostly older) folks. I took time to pose with any frog costumes I saw. Great vibe today!

We were wrong to think the line would be crossed when the military (and not just the national guard) was used domestically in our cities, against us; they created a whole new untrained, unaccountable, ruthless, and brutal army in ICE instead. (May the accounting come at some point....)

As I've been saying, authoritarians HATE being laughed at so the more absurd our reaction the better. Make them look ridiculous!

Another great response would be to blast children's music whenever they're marching. If they're filming it for a propaganda video, make sure the music is copyrighted.
I think Portland is onto something with their weird ass, silly protest techniques. These macho military men look *so ridiculous* next to a Victorian woman having a tea party on the sidewalk as they stom by with their big guns and shields.
