This is unacceptable. This is why my bill to ban greyhound racing in Scotland is vital.

The cost of living hasn't stopped increasing, but the wealth hoarded by the richest people has.

Scottish Greens want to establish a real living wage which increases inline with inflation.

People on minimum wage don't cause inflation, they shouldn't have to bail out the richest.

The @ScottishGreens.org want an environment where our children and young people are celebrated and can thrive.

We would scrap the cruel two-child benefit cap to protect more than 20,000 children from poverty in Scotland.

The tax system is broken. The richest people in the UK get to hoard their wealth whilst many struggle to buy the essentials and keep the heating on.

It doesn't have to be this way. @ScottishGreens.org want to tax the top 1%'s wealth and raise £70 billion for public services.

Mossmorran: workers must be put ahead of political blame game. The workers must be the priority of both governments. Read my full statement here: greens.scot/news/mossmor...

Exxon Mobil and Paul Greenwood should hang their heads in shame...

Scotland belongs to the people, not an unelected billionaire monarch. It's time for an independent Scottish Republic.

Making the richest in society pay more has helped Scottish Greens deliver for working-class Scots.
🚌 Free bus travel for Under 22s
🚸 The Scottish Child Payment for families
🥪 More free school meals
📈 Increased funding for local services

This is devastating news for the local community and will cause a lot of anxiety and for hundreds of workers and their families.

It will feel familiar to everyone who saw the results of inaction in Gragemouth. ExxonMobil has reported eye-watering profits and now it is cutting and running and

👏 This is great news for the residents in Dunkeld - people power in action.

There are parallels for the community around Bogside, affected by the potential expansion of Fife Silica Sands, where double the amount of people have taken the @ScottishGreens e-action to Fife Council.

The workforce at Mossmorran deserve better.

That's why I wrote to the Deputy First Minister asking to meet with her to discuss a way forward to support the workers and local community affected by the closure.

Everyone deserves to live as their true self.

Today, we remember and mourn the trans individuals who have lost their lives for trying to do just this.

We will continue to stand with trans people, and work to build a more inclusive Scotland.

Disappointing answer from the Deputy First Minister.

Workers and the local community deserve better.

I and the @ScottishGreens.org have long called for a worker-led Just Transition Plan for Mossmorran - this is exactly why. The Scottish Government promised to come up with a plan more than a year ago but have failed to deliver it.

No human is illegal. It is not illegal to seek asylum and refuge here, no matter the circumstances.

This Bill is personal for me. I had a former racing greyhound called Bert who was a lovely and affectionate dog, but still carried a lot of trauma and injury from his days of being made to race. I don’t want other dogs to have to go through what Bert and thousands of other dogs did.

Whilst I understand that due process must be followed, I’m concerned that opening a consultation ‘soon’ with the hope for legislative change ahead of the next election - less than six months away - with a growing backlog in the Scottish Parliament that this will be very tough ask.

When the @ScottishGreens.org were in government we brought in a better tax system, with people on the lowest income paying less and those with the broadest shoulders paying more.

Delighted to be opening the debate for the @ScottishGreens.org today.

The fact that free bus travel for young people has seen 250 million journeys shows that it works. With the Budget just around the corner, expanding it to more people will be a core part of our negotiations.
