...unbiased, their hypocrisy is too much to stomach. Any Brit supporting Trump and his international fascist movement against the BBC might want to reconsider whether one's political preferences should really take precedence over loyalty to one's country.

... without real independence or democracy under a colonial governor, place all their hopes in the international community and just whine a bit when it doesn't support them, they are consigning themselves to defeat in the long run.

That book shows it wasn't as simple as 'Germany defeated Russia militarily, so its resistance collapsed'. The Germans won some battles and Russian territory, but less than the French in 1812. Germany won in 1917-18 because Russia's war effort created social tensions that brought about its collapse.
