They added $154 over the odds to my bill for this billing period. I tried calling, gave up. If they don't sort it next bill, I'll pay them $1, then they'll want to talk. A rough count says they'll have around 90 mill extra in their bank from this, a lot of interest.

That reality TV thing currently running in the US has become so absurd that it surely won't get renewed for another season, or even for the next month.

Years later I put my big year into a book, recounting the events, all the writing being notebook driven. You're a good writer, you might consider doing the same. It's fun to do and you end up with your own book of the year to look back on.

I did a UK 300+ year in 1984. While it was enormous fun to do, almost a coming of age, I wouldn't do it again anywhere. Oddly enough, in Nova Scotia where I now live, a 300 year is a real benchmark, the record for NS is just 309. My best, in a hurricane year (Dorian), was 297.

One currently summers on an island group that straddles the Maine-New Brunswick border, I think it has been coming back for four years at least, we're waiting for it to find NS. The same area had Surfbird a few years ago.
