Definitely train whenever possible. Like last week from Cologne to Ireland, though there was some ferry included for the final step.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure they do the cryosphere, but for the heliosphere I would need to make some surveys or consult colleagues. But not in the night train.

There are some polar orbiting microwave instruments on EUMETSAT platforms. Nevertheless, it is a disaster.

Gleichwohl ist es nicht sonderlich hilfreich, den einordnenden Spiegel-Beitrag hinter eine Bezahlschranke zu stellen. Schon klar, seriöser Journalismus kostet. In einer Informationsschlacht kommt das allerdings zu einem anderen Preis. Und der kann am Ende viel höher sein.
