This was our sunset last night, thanks to a nearby forest fire. It's beautiful and frightening at the same time. We need a good Vancouver Island rainfall (heavy rain, no lightening) ASAP.

Today, I put a large chewable antibiotic in the dog dish, turned my back to get food, and this silly girl grabbed the pill and chewed it up. Panicked call to the vet to learn that it was double the dose normally given to a cat. We can expect vomiting and diarrhea. It could have been so much worse 😏

We lost our girl unexpectedly on December 21st, and it's broken my heart. She was so brave that we had no idea she was suffering until it was too late to help her. Such a sad holiday season 💔
