5. Timeline: The project runs in 27/28, but the Expression of Interest is due mid-Jan 2026. That gives us about 6 weeks to brew up something potent over digital coffees (or Zoom).

4. The brief asks for "Risk," "Ambition," and "Novelty."

I am not looking to write a standard paper (yawn).

I want to build a temporary utopia of thought. If you have a weird idea you’ve been shelving because it didn’t fit a standard grant box, dust it off. This is the home for it.

3. The catch? (There’s always one).

We need to be genuinely interdisciplinary. I’m in Business/Social Science.

I need a Co-PI who speaks a totally different academic language. Biology? Theology? Engineering? Literature? If our jargon doesn't match, we are probably a good fit.

Time buy-out for us (Christopherson-Knott Fellowships).
Funding to fly in 2 brilliant external Fellows to hang out and think with us.
Budget for research activities.

Basically, the IAS are paying us to escape the daily grind and actually collaborate.
