Ohh that is sooo frustrating. I've added my own cover photos for books when I've had that issue.

I love bookshelf. It works so well. I do find it doesn't have as many special editions in their database as storygraph, but at least you can manually add them. It's a life saver when I need to double check if I already own a certain book. (Also fantastic for insurance purposes.)

I wish! I rented an airbnb. My porch is nice, but not middle-of-nowhere nice.

Final update just in case you were still wondering. I actually loved the Sony xm4 much better in every way except the fit. (The sound quality and app was much better imo) The headphones were just much too big for me.
