Cables run into neat utility cabinets for power, fire, comms
This feels more driven by open station layout than cost, but also feels way more pragmatic than running everything really far to some utility closet all the way on the other side of the station

Also worth noting how REM has elegantly they're able to declutter overhead cable runs by consolidating everything into neat utility conduits combined with lighting
This is easy when you're doing greenfield construction and major station rebuild projects but I feel like you can also plan this

I'm just noticing all the REM stations actually don't have central HVAC — they're fully enclosed but costs seem to be kept simple with fans for circulation, radiant heaters for warmth, and louvers and louvered windows for passive circulation

I mean the Caltrans and IDOT equipment both have those blunted noses to accommodate a destination sign on either end of the trainset

Are anticlimbers between cars on open gangway trainsets typically this chonky?
The TTC Rocket doesn't have these as far as I could see
Is this required because of how far apart the cars are on R211 for tight curves?

Our Green Line Type 10s will be localized variants of CAF's Urbos LRVs... When I see these elsewhere, I'm constantly left wondering how we landed ourselves with such an insane center & front section seating config... Did we tell CAF 'latitudinal seating only'?!
