New corpus version ❗
With these 21 new elections and > 100 new documents, our Manifesto Corpus has passed the mark of 2 million quasi.sentences. Our multilingual corpus is growing, too! With the 2025-1 update, 63 new manifestos were translated into English and are available on quasi-sentence level.

We are especially happy to add data on manifestos from Malta from 2003 to 2022 and for Albania 2017 and 2021 , which makes longitudinal analyses for these two countries possible 🥳

We argue that the politicisation of the EU issue, has intensified partisan conflict in these countries, and that these changes in EU polarisation
have influenced public attitudes towards European integration. We calculate EU polarisation using data from the @manifestoproj.bsky.social .

Für Schwarz-Rot, wofür bereits sondiert wird, zeigen wir, dass die programmatische Übereinstimmung zwischen den potenziellen Koalitionspartner:innen tatsächlich recht hoch ist: Streitpunkte liegen vor allem in der Wirtschafts- und weniger in der Gesellschaftspolitik.

Während sich eine Koalition mit einer radikal rechten Partei wie der AfD aus verschiedenen Gründen verbittet und die CDU diese daher zu recht ausschloss, zeigt unsere Analyse u.a., dass eine solche fiktive Koalition auch weit von der Mitte dessen, was die Menschen gewählt haben, entfernt läge.
