Our whole rent, not just the part I usually pay, is $2,600 and an additional $1000 or so would allow us to buy some food. So we need as a household something like $3,600 for the month, if not more.

Which, let's be clear, is the status quo. This is not some uniquely vicious thing about Trump. This is how our justice system works under any president. It's just galling to hear someone say out loud that this is what they believe in.

I'm 95% sure a Medicare Advantage ad I saw the other day had an AI-generated spokesperson lip synced to a voiceover. That's the kind of immoral but fiscally sound thing I mean.

Generative AI has a small handful of good uses, a somewhat larger handful of uses that are morally vile but fiscally sensible, and a huge huge number of false promises.
