Double standards. There’s need for evidence-based discussions about merit, excellence, quality, and competence.
Most who invoke merit in US (esp against DEI) don’t define or model it.
Strict meritocracy would oppose legacy initiatives, partisanship, patronage, nepotism, favouritism, mitigate biases.
