Your discomfort is not a morality call. You not liking something does not make those who do abusers. Until an actual person does actual harm to another actual living being there is no fucking abuse, and trying to insist harmless people are abusers when they aren't makes YOU the only abuser.

This doesn’t ruin anything. This is the same shit with gatekeeping geewunners in the TF fandom. Angry that girls and gays wanna play with the same toys they do. What a pathetic mindset to have.

I think it's in large part due to climate change. The existentialism of it (denial only works for so long) makes people (xtians especially) go full rapture mode & suck what resources they can while they can, everyone else be damned.
I feel like one of the most underrated explanations for what's happening right now in global politics is that almost everyone has lost their minds.

The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.

The question that raises for me is if a CEO has ever done any real work in the history of CEOs
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?

Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.
