You say the Mar. ‘24 Montreal synagogue protest was a reaction to an event selling Israeli property. But the issue was that it included illegal sales of Palestinian land. Although a protest clip briefly mentions this at the start, you ignore this crucial fact after. Awful framing—what a hack job.

Pity the article didn’t discuss the situation in Saskatchewan, where the Crown corp Sasktel by all accounts has fewer dead zones than Rogers and Bell, and provides support to the less expansive private networks. The solution is public ownership indeed.

The part the article doesn’t mention is that Nutrien’s predecessor was a crown corporation, meant to keep Canadian interests first. We privatized it more than three decades ago and now the profiteers in charge of Nutrien turn their back on Canada.
