Extraordinary misinformation in this interview from MEP Ciaran Mullooly, claiming that water quality in the River Blackwater is 'excellent' when, in fact, a third of its water bodies are polluted, primarily from agriculture!

Some line from so-called "rural Independents" — the Green Party in four years delivered more for rural public transport than these bluffers ever will.
Michael Fitzmaurice TD being given airtime to spout nonsense on the @rteradio1.bsky.social Today programme with David McCullagh just now.

"There can't be public transport everywhere," says Fitzmaurice, before waffling about how hard it is to "get" and "go" to Galway by motorway.

Damn right.

And if the AMOC *is* disrupted as climate science predicts is likely, and millions of Irish are driven to become refugees, there'll be nothing anomalous about that with regard to the rest of our history up to a couple of decades ago.

Why do the Irish far-right not understand that alleged rapists cannot be named to protect the victim. The victim can waive their right to anonymity once they're an adult and chose to do so. A child cannot do the same. It has nothing to do with ethnicity. It's the law.

The Greens were the only party to make any serious headway on the project when we were in Gov. We must continue to push to ensure we have a sustainable public transport system!

We live instead in a light-touch regulatory paradise for polluters.
