Aged over 50 years for tenderness and flavor. Well-marbled and full of rich meaty goodness. RuneQuest fan since 1988.
RuneQuest has been working in this direction since it started in 1978. I recommend checking out their current Starter Set.

When they come to hang you, lad:
But bacon's not the only thing
That's cured by hanging from a string.”

He knows how to eat. He just can’t get the groceries in the right hole.

DARE= Drugs Are Really Expensive. Nobody at my school was offering them up for free.

The Spirit Plane must be in serious turmoil over there.

There’s a *reason* that RuneQuest has stuck around for so long, while many other games with much bigger marketing budgets have fizzled out 😛 Join us and find out!

We used to beat each other with the orange track. It was pretty savage.

Look at the bright side- before too long, *all players* of the current version will have worked on the product!

What blew my mind about RQ (back in 1988) was the mechanics and rationale behind interaction with the Spirit World. You mean Shamans are a thing, and not just some stupid kind of wizard?

“I come from a Heartlands family of some note, but I’m a new officer and need to make a name for myself. They sent me here to make my bones, and I’m gonna do whatever it takes to get my rep and get out of this shitty backwoods posting.”

They’re about hobbit sized. But they’re a lot meaner and harder to catch.

A character who can remain submerged for 5 minutes without any problem is quite a useful one in some areas.

Stafford made it pretty clear that he truly disliked the Dwarves on more than one occasion 😛

Most Dwarves don’t know how to reproduce, as the Quicksilver Dwarves (the Alchemist caste) oversee that task. It doesn’t need to happen often anyway, just to replace losses. Ones who are drafted to “do it” find the process to be an ordeal.

They also never age or die, as long as they keep to the way of Mostal The Maker. Elves do.
October 5, 2025 at 11:53 PM
I think of them more like Ants- they are strictly divided into castes depending upon their duties and even their bodies are different depending upon what function they serve.

If you mean the Chaosium game, it used to be called “HeroQuest” (they recently sold the name to Milton Bradley, who were rereleasing their own old time game with that same name). You might find some old forum stuff on it under the HQ name.
