Today's prices at Walmart were 84c and 97c a pound depending on brand. They have been hovering around this price for about a month now.

Seems like they're in good hands.

We adopted our third from a shelter that had a sort of free range setup with lots of cats in big rooms. She was excellent at "cat diplomacy," and a master at manipulating our other two. She is the glue that holds them all together now. But she has definitely crowned herself queen.

Okay. Here's ours extremely satisfied to find a new cave. (We cleaned our wood stove and left the door open for a few minutes.)

Just posting pics of our rescue cat, Judy. She lived for over two years in a rescue with no sunlight or fresh air. It was actually a kind place where cats are well cared for, but it wasn't ideal for so long. We chose her because she was one of the longest residents and no one ever chose her.

She's beautiful. We just did the same. We adopted from a shelter after we failed to save a very sick stray who came to us for help. Very sad. But we realized we had room to rescue another.
