I've been made aware that Kyle Kulinski/Secular Talk @kylekulinskishow.bsky.social posted an openly fascist and racist meme on Twitter against Indians, mocking a real disabled Indian man.

Absolutely abhorrent and despicable behavior for a "leftist", and the tweet is still up.

The language says it will give the hateful memo as "training" to staff. Which would imply that they're training staff to enforce policies that ban trans people from facilities. They are trying to be sneaky, but any compliance with that memo must be responded with fierce resistance.

fun fact: Wikipedians have hated this guy for decades. In 2010, he has many of his founder privileges stripped after users accused him of being an "elephant in a china shop" and abusing his power. Good thing he lost those privileges!

Proposal edit I would like to propose and give the place to the Wikimedia community to discuss about possible founder rights removal. These rights were given to Jimmy Wales (was there any election?), the founder of Wikipedia, to act on Wikipedia as a steward forever. Unfortunately other communities (other than Wikipedia), were not informed about this fact, but Jimmy Wales behaves there like an elephant in china shop. He doesn't respect any ethical rules applied until this time by other stewards and simply disrupted and discredited Wikiversity. And I am afraid that other projects might be possibly injured in the future, as this was not for the first time Jimbo did it (in beginning of fall 2008 he came to English Wikiversity (at those times elected as a steward) and disrupted the project, which led to the exodus of people outside). I would say, that such charismatic person as Jimmy Wales would not saw phrases such as „I am currently discussing the closure of Wikiversity with the board.“ (source: [1]) That is what discredits Wikiversity as a project. I think such smart guy as Jimmy Wales is, can't say such a phrase even in the case WMF would discuss about the possibility of closing the project! The other problem blocking users (even administrators, who haven't been noticed as a "danger" by community), desysopsing administrators and deleting pages without a further discussion and based on a "simple" call on his Wikipedia discussion page leads to the exodus of people from the project. People who believed in community decision making are gone and may never come back. They can't swallow the fact, that community decision making is changed to centralized dictatorship from day to day, by the Wikimedia movement founder, the symbol of free thinking. More serious discussions between Jimbo Wales and editors about the role Wikipedia is meant to play in society.

Wikipedia founder Jimbo Wales is trying to use his name to convince Wikipedia editors to deny the Gaza Genocide, recognized by many human rights organizations.

Although he's not seizing control, this is an extreme attempt to sway Wikipedia content in violation of its founding principles.
This message is from me, Jimbo Wales, founder of Wikipedia. I believe that Wikipedia is at its best when we can have reasonable discussion rooted in a commitment to write articles that reflect a neutral point of view. I believe that's especially important on highly difficult or contentious topics. I was asked point-blank in a high profile media interview about this article, and I answered with transparency and honesty: this article fails to meet our high standards and needs immediate attention. As many of you will know, I have been leading an NPOV working group and studying the issue of neutrality in Wikipedia across many articles and topic areas including “Zionism”. While this article is a particularly egregious example, there is much more work to do. It should go without saying that I am writing this in my personal capacity, and I am not speaking on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation or anyone else! I assume good faith of everyone who has worked on this Gaza “genocide” article. At present, the lede and the overall presentation state, in Wikipedia’s voice, that Israel is committing genocide, although that claim is highly contested. This is a violation of WP:NPOV and WP:ATTRIBUTEPOV that requires immediate correction. Remember: "This policy is non-negotiable, and the principles upon which it is based cannot be superseded by other policies or guidelines, nor by editor consensus." A neutral approach would begin with a formulation such as: “Multiple governments, NGOs, and legal bodies have described or rejected the characterization of Israel’s actions in Gaza as genocide.” What I’m asking for Be bold and start editing (WP:BOLD). Voting for the CR now would be a complete surrender to Trump from Dems with nothing to show for the month-long shutdown.

The University of Virginia has capitulated to Trump on transgender and race (affirmative action) issues.

The details are currently sparse, but reporting suggests they've agreed to define trans people out of existence and ban trans students from facilities.
