Yeah, it’s thread o’clock. I want to talk about some numbers and some politics.
I will never understand all the kids in movies whose first thought on being left home alone is to throw a massive party. Everyone I know is like, “yes! Quiet! I will do nothing! Maybe I will let my closest friends come over for a chill movie night!”

ADHD parenting is a trip. I just had to remind my kid how to stand up, recognize that she was cold, and get dressed. I was then assured by multiple family members that this was normal and they had experienced it too.

Part of why I love horror is that it reminds us that humans are small and naked and weak, and something bigger than us can still eat us. It’s good for us to get the reminder.

It’s been twenty years, but I did it.
At my undergraduate college, there was this delightful little cafe in the science center. They served an amazing drink called hot spiced chaider, which was chai mixed with apple cider.
Every time, I’ve tried to recreate it, the cider has curdled the chai.

We can’t test our way to academic success, y’all. When school becomes endless test prep, real learning fades while anxiety & learning lethargy grows…we have DECADES of proof of this. Let’s give kids time to learn by sticking to the federally-required tests only…& drop the rest!
