In this particular shtengai they tore many of the old buildings down that housed the shops. Built modern single family homes and small apartments buildings. I visited the area this past summer and sadly didn't even recognize it.

Nishiyodogawa in Osaka. My in-laws live in the area. I've spend countless evenings wandering the back alleys and streets listening to podcasts and taking photos of quite streets. My happy place for sure. Gritty and earthy.

His content is always high quality and I appreciate his humor. At the end he mentioned he doesn't make a lot of content like this cause it tends not to do well, but it's my favorite kinds.
