erenville says "no, no. i was listening, sorry. actually, i have a favour i'd like to ask of you. would you bless my lantern crystal for me?" erenville starts to reach in his bag while meade, a bit worriedly, says "me?! between the two of us you're the more capable traveller by far! you should be imbuing MY lantern crystal!! except i don't have one..." with a focus on erenville's hand holding the crystal, he says "it's fine. i'd like your blessing regardless, if you don't mind. here." there's a closeup of meade's face as she looks at the crystal, not saying anything. then she reaches out her hand and starts to imbue it with aether. there's a closeup of erenville's face as he looks on quietly as meade imbues the crystal. then he, holding it, says "thank you" while she remains quiet.

erenville goes to the baldesion annex. ojika tsunjika, the receptionist, says "krile just stepped out, but she should be back shortly." erenville replies "thank you, i don't mind waiting." opening the door to the usual meeting room, he says "hello, pardon my intrusio—ack" awkwardly surprised to see meade there. in the following panels they're drawn in a diminutive, loose way to show the scene becoming more lighthearted now that meade is present. meade, happy to see him, says "hi erenville! waiting on krile? should i contact her?" erenville says "it's fine, the receptionist said she'd be back soon." meade says "alright". then he just looks at her and says nothing while she smiles at him. meade says "last time i saw you, you said you'd be travelling soon, right? safe travels!" erenville thinks to himself "...she didn't mention it..." but replies with "thank you." there's another comical pause where he says nothing while she smiles at him. erenville says "so, i hear you've been to another world before." meade looks at him in surprise and says "how do you know that?!" erenville replies "a colleague of mine told me earlier." erenville says "he told me he asked you to bless his lantern crystal." meade says "oh! that was a friend of yours? how nice!! the process really reminded me of... when i was in that other world, i imbued a heartstone with aether so that we could use it for-" she cuts herself off out of embarrassment and says "oh, but you're busy, so now is not the time for me to be recounting this..."

a comic where erenville from final fantasy xiv is talking to another viera gleaner while at work in labyrinthos. the gleaner says "oh, hey erenville!" erenville, who is working and holding a crate, says "hey! heading out soon? you're going to gyr abania, aren't you?" the gleaner replies "i am. i've been feeling quite nervous about it... but the other day an experienced adventurer was willing to bless my lantern crystal for me." erenville says "oh? not a gleaner?" the gleaner replies "no, but she was a viera like us." erenville, smiling, says "i see, that's kind of her." then he pauses. his smile drops and he thinks to himself "why does that sound familiar" the gleaner cuts his thinking off a bit, saying "it was. she was a bit strange though—said the farthest she'd been was a whole other world." the gleaner, laughing at erenville who is turned away from the viewer so that his face isn't visible, says "what's with that face?" then he says "i know you don't put much stock in things like good luck charms and so on..." erenville replies "i don't?" (a side note says: erenville's colleagues often mistakenly assume his pragmatic attitude equates to a disinterest in superstitions, traditions, rituals, charms, etc.) the gleaner, now waving goodbye says "i'd like to be a confident gleaner like you, erenville. anyway, i should get going. i'll see you." erenville waves back and says "bye, safe journey." then he thinks to himself "... it's definitely her." erenville, as he sets the crate down, thinks "no one else i've ever met ends up so involved. i'm sure the next time i see her, now that she knows, she'll ask to imbue my lantern crystal. wait... that was quite conceited of me... here he recalls meade, my viera warrior of light, "getting involved" as he so put it. she's holding a bag and saying "i caught the mice!" as a callback to the first quest erenville gives the player, then there's another image of her saying "i shot the hornbill!" as a callback to the second quest erenville gives the player. there's a third image of her saying "hey what kind of bug is this?" to show her often pestering him with inane things. while recalling these moments, he thinks "just because she often gets involved in my affairs around labyrinthos...and because our paths have now become more intertwined doesn't mean... doesn't mean what...? this is such a strange train of thought i'm just going to go back to work..."
