Embroidery update with some finished objects! The window one was aggravating because the kit didn’t have quiiiite enough of the light tan floss for the wallpaper so I had to order more before I could finish it. Now I will have DMC 742 to last me decades.

I’ve finally figured out what the mystery plant in the flower bed out front is: it’s what happens when someone hucks their jack-o’-lantern into the flower bed instead of hauling it out to the dumpster.

I love this technique for branches: you backstitch in a darker brown floss and then go back through to whip it with a lighter brown floss and get a lot of depth out of it.

The Lacy Flowers piece is gorgeous but omg the lace bits were so fiddly. I’m a little amazed I didn’t break my needle trying to force it through the centers of the flowers (which were already solid with satin stitch).
