Ista wanted very, very badly to help me wind up some skeins of DMC, and I had to keep ejecting her from my lap. So she went and curled up with her back very pointedly to me and a set of airplane ears to make sure I would know she was mad.

It’s so satisfying to have my mom look at my work and nod and say, “You do very nice work.” She does fantastic work herself so it means just a little bit more coming from her.
