At least one German organization seems to have adopted „Nichts über uns ohne uns“, which is a literal translation. Seems to hold the snappy call to action pretty well. www.bpb.de/shop/zeitsch...

There definitely needs to be a balance between the social and medical models of disability.

That's disappointing. ☹️

That's totally understandable. Thx for the added context.

Thanks for clarifying. I didn't realize it was in response to a specific incident. Thought you were just making a general point and wanted to mention a nuance. FWIW the CFR rule appears to be specifically related to research misconduct not general law, but good point about plagiarism public domain.

GenAI is capable of plagiarism too, though. Like it spits out an almost-verbatim copy of an existing image (demonstrated in some of the lawsuits). Plagiarism is also not a legal term as I understand it, more of a specific subset of copyright infringement (not a lawyer; just have researched it).

I love Christmas music. So many favs, so hard to choose just one of each. Snap decision: Breath of Heaven (Mary's Song) / I'll Be Home For Christmas.

It depends on the book. My first book had a couple different openings, each with many variations. In Blackout Trail, it was pretty much locked in from the first draft to the last.

Yeah that's what I was referring to. For example, here's a recent Impact Parents podcast about EF/ADHD. They have lots of educational resources and a coaching program. impactparents.com/executive-fu...

Sounds like you might be looking for "Parent Coaching" - helping the parents help the whole family. Impact Parents is one such org. (I'm not affiliated, just like their blog and such; there are certainly others.)

Also a good point! Publisher Rocket's numbers suggest that my genres heavily favor KU as well. In post-apoc, it reports 70% of books are on KU, and disaster fiction is 92%! Who knows, though, maybe the % who are wide are cleaning up. Less competition.

Thanks! I only have one real book so maybe someday. (My other title is technically wide, but doesn't get any sales anywhere 😂) I suspect there are a lot of KU readers who ONLY read KU, plus there are the KU-specific promos. It's really hard to say if it would balance out.
