Amphoreus got so egregious with this to the point that despite the writing treating you like an idiot, even I had to go back and rewatch some of it because they don’t actually explain anything cohesively.

There’s this weird dissonance in that writer’s room because HSR loves to bring up philosophical & metaphysical stuff because its literally based on Gnosticism (and its fun! I really like it), but then it clashes with their insistence on treating the readers like morons.

I know this is a gacha-related problem in general but its so funny that most R1999 fans try to sincerely engage with the writing bc it utilizes history/philosophy, while Hoyo fans brag about skipping the story but then whine about not understanding anything going on.
